As a DEA (Domestic Energy
Assessor), he will visit local “For Sale, or To
Let” dwellings and prepare an EPC using RDSAP
(which is a reduced data program requiring
minimum data input), that is acceptable to
prepare this type of EPC. |

As an OCDEA, (On Construction
Domestic Energy Assessor), he will: |

Initially, prepares a PEA
(Predicted Energy Assessment) from drawings for
“new-build” properties to accompany the planning
submission documents (L1A projects); |
|
 |
| EPC Reports have been introduced
to encourage energy efficient homes;
Householders can enjoy a more
comfortable home and lower fuel bills. |
|
| • |
Finally, when building works
are complete, carries out further energy
calculations, and produces the EPC (Energy
Performance Certificate). This he lodges it on a
national database, forwarding a copy to his
client, who can obtain the completion
certificate for the dwelling by passing a copy
of this EPC document to the Planning Authority. |

Can visit a project to collect
details, and prepare “on-site” sketch drawings
for dwelling “conversions” or “change-of-use,”
where full information is lacking for L1B
projects. |

Specialises in preparing
“trade-off” calculations to obtain planning
authorisation for new extensions to dwellings,
where glazing exceeds the permitted area. |
